A radical adaptation of the bestselling book Sapiens into a graphic novel series, in collaboration with the genre’s leading artists.

• The story of humankind retold in a visual and humorous way, narrated by a fictional version of Yuval Noah Harari.
• A series of 4 books co-written by Yuval Noah Harari and David Vandermeulen, and illustrated by Daniel Casanave.

Sapiens – The Animated Series

‍An animated comedy series for adults.

• A hilarious journey exploring deep truths about what makes us human – and no, it’s not our ability to binge on TV shows.
• A multi-season animation project, inspired by Sapiens and the graphic novel series Sapiens: A Graphic History.
• This series is in collaboration with the pioneering Annapurna production company in Los Angeles, USA.

AI and Intimacy

• A scripted feature created in collaboration with Hope Studios and renowned screenwriter and director Andrew Niccol, the creative mind behind milestone films such as The Truman Show, Gattaca and many others.
• A powerful story set in the near future, where love and intimacy are shaped and governed by artificial intelligence. Raising profound questions about relationships in the age of AI.
• Inspired by Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow by Yuval Noah Harari.

Sapiens – The Immersive Experience

A mixed reality and live-action experience that will launch in a cultural capital.

• An immersive show that sweeps through the whole story of humankind in one hour – connecting the past to the present, and inviting visitors to re-write the future.
• A touring experience developed in collaboration with the industry’s leading storytellers and designers, that will enable audiences worldwide to access big ideas in an immediate and visceral way.
• Unlike traditional exhibitions, the show will use tools like an augmented reality app to extend the visitors’ experience beyond the physical exhibit.

We have partnered with Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s HITRECORD Films, to explore a variety of shared interests and the topics featured in Sapienship and Yuval Noah Harari’s work.

Once Upon AI

A short film experiment that paired artificial intelligence with macro-historical storytelling.

• What did the mind-blowing story of humankind look like to AI, back in the middle of 2022 – shortly before generative AI tools exploded into public consciousness?
• A voiceover script written by Sapienship – inspired by the work of Yuval Noah Harari – was illustrated with over 260 images generated by 13 different AI algorithms.
